I must prophesy and proclaim what I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying in my spirit. “I desire your heart to be fully surrendered to Me. I would like for our hearts to be in sync. When you open your heart to Me, you will experience a great syncopation. When your heart feels weak, I will strengthen it. When you are weak, I will be strong. I will come into your life in a new and refreshing way. What your lips say will draw Me in but I must have a place to rest. I want to rest in your heart. I want to captivate your heart. I want to be your one true love. Your heart must be porous and penetrable so that my love can flow through it. You must guard your heart and not allow other things to take up My residence. Allow me to live there, freely and forever.”
If your doctor sends you to a cardiologist to have an Electrocardiogram, also known as an ECG or an EKG, that means they have some concerns about your heart. This test allows them to check your heart rhythm. It also checks to see if there are any thickened walls around your heart.
Many of God’s children are suffering from spiritual heart disease. They have placed walls around their hearts that are preventing the Spirit of the Lord from dwelling within. Many are trying to cover up their hurts and hide their wounds from the Father. There is a fear to vulnerable with Him because of the hurts people have caused in the past. God wants access to our whole heart. He is not like man and cannot and will not lie.
In Matthew 15:7-8, Jesus addresses the Pharisees and confirms the prophecy of the prophet Isaiah. He said to them, “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, These people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” Calling them hypocrites shows how serious Jesus took this heart issue. He was not impressed with words only. Lip service did not impress Him. The beauty is that the Lord’s heart is for us and He doesn’t just say it but He means it. He was and still is looking for hearts that are sincere and accept who He is. He still is not impressed with a prideful heart; A heart that is determined to be hardened and inaccessible.
It is a heart thing! Recently, I heard in my spirit that the Lord was pleased that I finally realized it wasn’t about legalism and perfectionism but it was about receiving His love and responding to it with an open heart. It wasn’t about performance but allowing HIs presence to rest on Me. When our hearts are completely open for Him to access, we will hear Him clearly and our actions will line up to His will. An open heart trusts the will of God.
Instead of focusing on impressing Him let him make an imprint on your heart. Then you will want to imitate His ways. You will want to love like Him. You will want to replace your wants with His desires.
Don’t go one day without letting God infiltrate your heart. Have a daily spiritual ECG. Everyday Connect with God. Worship Him, read His Word, spend time talking and listening to His voice through the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Lord, help us to surrender our hearts to you on a daily basis. Let the words of our mouth and meditation of our hearts be pleasing to you. Thank you for a clean heart and a renewed spirit. We want to trust you with all of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Thank you for coming into our hearts as we open them up to you without restraint. Amen.
